These terms cover Amply, a Mac app made and sold by Aretebase LLC ("we"). By installing or buying Amply you agree to them.
Who you buy from
Polar runs the checkout as the merchant of record. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Your license
Buying Amply gets you a personal license key. You'll find it on your purchase page and in Polar's customer portal. It works on up to 3 Macs at a time, and you can move it between your Macs (deactivate it on one first). The key is yours alone, so please don't share it, sell it or post it.
The trial
Amply is free for 14 days from the first launch, with every feature and no card. After that it keeps showing what your battery is doing. The rest needs a license.
Price and payment
Amply costs the price shown on the Amply page and at checkout, paid once. Polar adds any sales tax or VAT for where you live.
Refunds
Not working for you? Write to hello@aretebase.com within 14 days of buying and we'll give you your money back. Polar issues the refund.
Updates
Updates to version 1 are free. A later major version may be sold separately. Your copy of version 1 keeps working either way.
How Amply works with macOS
Amply relies on a part of macOS that Apple doesn't document. A macOS update can stop the limit switch working. If that happens, Amply falls back to watching the battery, and we update it as soon as we can.
No warranty
Amply is provided as is, without any warranty. We are not liable for any loss from using it. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid for it.
Ending a license
We may switch off a key that is used outside these terms (for example, one posted publicly).
Changes
If these terms change, we'll put the new version on this page with a new date. The terms in place when you bought Amply cover that purchase.
